My first time experiencing a digital scam was in high school. I had received a text saying that my UPS order was cancelled and that I would need to click a link to manage my order. However, at the time I hadn’t ordered anything and the image quality associated with the text was very poor. This immediately stood out as a red flag to me. As I looked closer, I noticed some words were misspelled as well which drew me to the conclusion that the text message was a scam, trying to get me to click on their link, as doing so can put my device, account, or data at risk.
I also have got a message from “UPS” like that. Definitely made sure to ignore it!
